There have been a lot of mentions and tutorials over the internet, teaching you how to clean your cold press juicer. but most of the people fail to realize, that how important it is to clean your juicer after every session. And that is mainly because they don’t have solid reasons to support that statement. However, in this post, we will look at some important points and reasons, so as to why you should clean your Juicer regularly.
And by regularly, I prefer cleaning the equipment inside out, after every juicing session. Also, note that we do have some tutorials coming up, in which we will be discussing how to clean your hurom or any cold press juicer effectively. Meanwhile, you can check out some of the posts linked down below.
The biggest problem with juicing is that the remains of the fruit and the vegetable get accumulated in the juicer. They dry up and get deposited on the inside of the juicing chamber. And this can be a really serious problem if not dealt with on a regular basis. The dry and dead remains of the fruit can really pose a hygiene problem if not removed at appropriate times.
They can rot up, and make your juicer foul smelling. And hence also make the juice unhealthy, and do more harm than good. So it is utterly important to clean your juicer, after every time you use the juicer for juicing. Also, the good point in this one is, that as soon as you juice, the remains are still wet and easier to remove. But when they dry up and make that foul smell in the juicer, they become really hard to remove with plain water.
And need to scrub out. And that takes just about twice as much time, as the former case. So it is highly advisable that you immediately clean out your juicer after you extract juice. it ensures that the juicer is clean, and there are no unhealthy conditions, which could lead to some serious problems if you consume a juice with all that bacteria in it.
We all know, as the juice pathways in the juicer are very small, and get easily clogged. They can get easily clogged with the remains of the fruits and vegetables from your previous juicing session. And hence can lead to a decrease in the free flowing pathways. Ultimately, since there is less pathway available for the juice to flow out. The juice will come out slowly and slowly. And half of the juice will get absorbed by that matter deposited inside your juicer. The result of this situation.
The result of this situation will be that the juice yield is highly likely to decrease. The juice will come out at a much slower rate, as it should normally. Which poses a problem to the juice maker. So it is always a good option to clean out your juicer as soon as you juice to avoid this problem.
Safeguarding the Long Life of Juicer:
All the points we are discussing here are somewhat related. And this one is too. Now when you don’t clean your juicer, the remains from the previous fruits and vegetables get deposited inside the juicer and clog it. Now since less free pathway and free motion of the juice is denied, the moving parts of the juicer, have to work more nad more so as to ensure that the juice is flowing out.
This work rate will exceed the normal work rate limit. Which can be harmful to the juicer in the long run. As it can lead to wear and tear of the juicer parts, at a much faster rate than it rather should normally. So as to avoid this case, you should ensure that the juicer is completely clean from the inside. So that there is no external load on the juicer parts, because of the waste deposits inside the juicer.
Also since we discussed in the last point, that the parts will have to work more. They will also consume more and more energy while doing so. And that can increase the load on the juicer as well. It can lead to slightly increased electricity bills. But that is not the issue. The problem is that the juicer will have to work more, for which it is rated at. It can lead to heating issued within the juicer. While this situation can be easily avoided if you just simply take out a few minutes. And clean out your juicer after the session.
So these were some of the points, and reasons so as to why you should clean your juicer. It should be noted, that cleaning out your juicer just after juicing, is a lot easier and only takes about a few minutes. As not doing so, will only make things worse for you and your health. As you will be consuming an unhealthy juice, which could harm your health and hygiene with all that bacteria in it. Also along with that, there are other reasons, which make things worse. So it is always better to just clean it out as soon as you juice, to avoid some of the consequences we just discussed in this post.
